Summary of Terms

Seel administers a Worry-Free Purchase Program on behalf of the website or organization who sold you the protected goods.

Buyers must elect to enroll in the Worry Free Purchase Program, and pay the full cost of both the protected goods and the Worry-Free Purchase Program for the specified fee at time of purchase in order to be eligible for refund through the Program.

The following terms apply for buyers who choose to enroll the Program

Definitions

A. Buyer means the person or entity that has paid for the protected goods.

B. Carrier means the delivery service company responsible for transit of the package.

C. Company means Seel Inc. the administrator of the Worry-Free Purchase Program.

D. Contract means this contract entered into by the Buyer and the Retailer.

E. Damage(d) means accidental or malicious physical damage to the protected goods

F. Delay means the package was not delivered to the final destination within the estimated time provided by the carrier.

G. Final Destination means the address where the package is scheduled to be delivered. The address of delivery is provided by the buyer, as shown on the purchased invoice.

H. Loss/Lost means the package has not been delivered and which the carrier has declared to be lost in transit.

I.   Package means the parcel containing the protected goods which are properly prepared and arranged for transit and assigned a tracking number.

J.   Porch Piracy means the package was marked as delivered by the carrier, but the Certificate Holder or any party acting on their behalf, never took possession of the package.

K. Protected goods means the product or merchandise that the Seel Platform has deemed eligible for the Program, subject to the terms and conditions of this Program.

L.   Retailer means the entity selling the protected goods that are eligible for this Program

M.   Seel Platform means the online electronic–based platform through which the buyer purchased the protected goods.

N. Theft means the package was unlawfully and intentionally taken during transit and not subsequently recovered.

O. Tracking Number means a unique sequence assigned to a package that enables the ability to monitor [DS4] the status of the package in transit.

P. Transportation/Transit means the entire shipping process of moving the package from the point of origin to the final destination via land, air, or sea.

Refund Reasons

The Insured may purchase transactional insurance (per shipment basis) for packages shipped via the modes specified in this Policy.

REFUND ELIGIBILITY

The Company will reimburse the Buyer, up to the Maximum Limit listed in the Contract, if the Buyer has a refund due to any of the following reasons that meet the requirements under the section  Requirements for Notice of Loss, Damage or Delay.

A. Risk of physical Loss of or Damage from any external cause irrespective of percentage, except such risks as are excluded by Contract.
B. Delay as defined by the Contract, except delay arising from such risks that are excluded by the Contract such as delays caused by government actions or the willful actions of the Buyer or Retailer. Valuation

Protected goods
shall be valued at the amount of the invoice, excluding taxes, tarrifs and shipping charges.

LIMITS OF LIABILITY

Limits of Liability for Loss or Damage
Any one package or shipment: USD $5,000
Any one package or shipment
Containing a computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, or smart watch: USD $2,500

Limit of Liability for Delay
‍Any one package or shipment: USD $10.00

Goods Eligible for the Program
‍Subject to the terms, conditions and limits of the Worry Free Purchase Program, this Contract is intended to cover shipments of lawful goods:

A. for which the retailer is the shipper;
B. shipped for the account of others on which the Company has received instructions to include coverage under this Contract. Instructions must be given in writing prior to transportation and prior to any known or reported loss or accident.

The following goods shall be ineligible for the Program :

A. Automobiles and motorcycles;
B. Boats and yachts;
C. Live animals;
D. Cash;
E. Lumber;
F. Ceramic, marble or granite tiles, slab blocks countertops or statues;
G. Negotiable papers;
H. Cigarettes and other tobacco products;
I.   Raw cotton;
J.   Pharmaceutical drugs;
K. Fine arts (valued in excess of $10,000 per piece);
L.   Precious stones and metals;
M.   Flowers;
N. Scrap metal, steel metal and steel metal products; automotive engines; general used automotive merchandise made of metal;
O. Glass windows, plate glass and similar goods;
P. Securities;

Insurance policies are offered and administered by Seel Insurance Services, Inc. and are underwritten by Seel Insurance Inc. or Arch Specialty Insurance Company, depending on jurisdiction and product availability. Carrier participation may vary by state in accordance with applicable regulations.
